We have plenty of SCA...
Hi, I'm Sophie and I'm studying History at Queens'. I've been volunteering with SCA through the TESL project since I first came to Cambridge, and have loved every minute of it- it's the best way imaginable to get out of the library and the Cambridge bubble! If you have any queries about volunteering or SCA generally, then please get in touch with myself or any of the Steering Group.

Hi everyone, my name's Harriet and I'm a Corpus MML-er. I absolutely love SCA and will be making sure that you all know as much about it as possible this year! Some of my favourite Cambridge memories are from afternoons spent running around at Bounce and being covered in glitter at Craftroom. So, get in touch if you have any questions and look forward to seeing you around!

Hi, I'm Oli and I'm studying for an M-Phil in intellectual history. I'm the treasurer on the steering group so I oversee fundraising and generally keep an eye on SCA's accounts. I'm also the project leader for Bounce which means I spend a lot of time running after children and praying a stray football doesn't knock over the jenga tower. Volunteering through SCA has been one the best things I've done at Cambridge. It's a brilliant opportunity to extend student life beyond the Sidgwick to Sidney Street mile and meet some wonderful people along the way. And it's all for a good cause!

Hi there, I'm Hayley - a third year English student at Johns. I started volunteering with SCA on the Homework Help project which has now become a regular part of my week, being a volunteer is a very unique activity as it is not only a fun break from work but you really feel like you are contributing positively to your life and someone else's! I'm the person to contact if you want to know more about one of our projects as I can point you in the right direction and I am also responsible for developing new projects so please get in touch if you have any ideas!

Hi, I'm Gloria and I'm a Natsci at Trinity Hall - I first started volunteering with SCA through Taskforce and enjoy it so much because I've met people I never would have otherwise, and it gives me an opportunity to escape from uni life once a week! Not enough people know about SCA and the work it does and I want to do my bit to change that - they are missing out! Please get in touch if you're interested in being the SCA rep for your college, or if you have any ideas or questions about what your college could do to support SCA - I'd love to hear from you.

Hey, I'm Gareth, a second year BioNatSci at Robinson. I got involved with SCA this year and have been helping out on the TESL scheme for several months. As a General Member on the Steering Group, I help out with anything and everything, from advertising to fund-raising. Volunteering with SCA has the potential to be whatever you want it to be. It is a great chance to get out of the Bubble for a couple of hours a week, yes - it will look good on your CV, but most importantly you'll be giving something back whilst having fun! The experiences I've had through SCA have been some of the most memorable of my life, and will genuinely stay with me long after I've left Cambridge. So why not get involved - you've got nothing to lose!

Hi, I’m Fang Yen and I’m reading Economics at Fitzwilliam. I first got involved with SCA through Homework Help, where I visited St. Luke’s primary school weekly to help the pupils catch up with their homework. Currently I volunteer with the elderly. Volunteering with SCA is a fantastic way to have fun, meet new people and make a difference! Please feel free to get in touch with any queries about SCA.
