Welcome to Cambridge Student Community Action

Welcome to Cambridge and welcome to volunteering!

Student Community Action has been providing volunteering opportunities that fit in with student lifestyle since 1972! Volunteering can add a significant amount of fun into your time here in Cambridge. You not only get to help vulnerable members of the Cambridge community, you also get to experience the life outside the student bubble and make friendships that last beyond your time here!

If you want some more insight into what it is like to actually volunteer then please have a look at our volunteers Blog site http://cambridgesca.weebly.com/blog

To get involved check out our VOLUNTEERING WITH SCA tab and check out our projects and other opportunities or pop in to our office at 10, Pembroke St for a chat!

Vounteer For Fireworks Display Required!

Every year Student Community Action volunteers help the City Council to provided the biggest, local display of fireworks. Without our volunteers collecting money in buckets on the night the Council would not be able to put on the display which is enjoyed by thousands of people every year. It is a great event an always fun for the volunteers - not least because you usually get a food voucher for helping and also get to see the amazing display! The event is always on 5th November 6.30 - 8.30pm. If you and some friends can help us this year we'd love to hear from you. Simply email mail@cambridgesca.org.uk to let us know who can help.
